BOSTON (AP) — Quarterback Charles Deprima ran for 113 yards and was one of four players who scored rushing touchdowns for Harvard as the Crimson opened their 150th season of football with a 45-13 victory over St. Thomas of Minnesota on Saturday.Harvard led 31-0 at halftime and the score reached 38-0 before the Tommies got on the board midway through the third quarter.Deprima was only 7 of 18 passing for 92 yards and a touchdown but the Crimson totaled 255 yards rushing. (AP) — The New York Jets signed kicker Austin Seibert to the practice squad and then elevated him to the active roster on Saturday to replace the injured Greg Zuerlein.The Jets also signed quarterback Tim Boyle from the practice squad to back up Zach Wilson, who’s starting after Aaron Rodgers tore his left Achilles tendon in New York’s 22-16 season-opening win against Buffalo last Monday night. An Alexandria, Virginia, man is dead after his car collided with a tractor-trailer on I-495 Tuesday, according to Virginia State Police.At 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police said they responded to a two-vehicle crash in Fairfax County in which a tractor-trailer suddenly slowed in speed due to mechanical issues and a 2003 Mercedes-Benz struck its rear.The driver of the Mercedes, 51-year-old Martin Warner Jr., was killed.
